From Discussion to Demonstration
Innowave Tech and IMDA co-organized Accelerating Agentic AI for Sustainable Manufacturing on Oct 22, 2025, bringing semiconductor customers, industry experts, partners and government agencies into a shared discussion about the next stage of industrial AI. The event was held in partnership with the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association, Siemens and IPI Singapore.
The program combined interactive product demonstrations with presentations and a panel discussion. That mix gave participants two ways to engage with the subject: examining the direction of manufacturing AI and seeing the products being developed to put it into practice.
A central theme was how agentic AI could support manufacturing efficiency alongside human innovation. Innowave Tech framed the event around collaboration, with technology providers, industry organizations and manufacturers contributing different perspectives on how adoption should develop.
A Conversation across the Ecosystem
The panel brought together IPI Singapore’s Michael Goh, Siemens’ Isabel Chong, former AEM CEO Yean Hung Chok, SSIA’s Ang Wee Seng and CEO Xu Jinsong. Nils Michaelis of Thoughtworks moderated the discussion. The line-up connected innovation support, industrial technology, semiconductor experience and the company’s own manufacturing AI work.
The presentation and product-showcase program included Licheng Yan from Siemens and Ang Wee Seng from SSIA, together with Head of Solutions Mike Feng, Head of Operations and Product Javier Kong and CTO Wu Shangjing. The company also acknowledged the IMDA team’s work in co-organizing the session.
For Innowave Tech, the gathering was an opportunity to put product development in direct conversation with the wider manufacturing community. Demonstrations made the technology available for discussion, while the panel brought the partnership and adoption questions into view. The event’s focus was on shaping practical applications of agentic AI with the people and organizations that will use and support them.
