Inspection across the Production Process
Sydrogen Energy has announced a partnership with Innowave Tech to integrate automated optical inspection into its bipolar plate manufacturing process. The planned system will cover incoming materials, inspection after cleaning and inspection after coating, placing quality checks at three distinct points in production.
The collaboration brings Innowave Tech’s AI-based inspection technology to Sydrogen’s SydroDiamond coated bipolar plates. Sydrogen identified precision and product quality as central reasons for the partnership, with zero-defect production as its stated aim.
The three-stage scope makes the announcement more specific than a general commitment to factory automation. It identifies where inspection is intended to sit in the manufacturing sequence: before processing begins and after two subsequent operations. The announcement describes an integration plan; it does not report measured production results.
Sydrogen also announced that Innowave Tech would join its team at the Tokyo exhibition that week. The collaboration connects the companies’ manufacturing and inspection expertise around a defined production task: checking the quality of bipolar plates as they move through the process.
