Innowave Tech Opens Taiwan Office as Semiconductor Engagements Grow

Our first customer conversation in Hsinchu grew into a project, wider semiconductor relationships and a local office.

A Customer Relationship Becomes a Local Commitment

We opened our Taiwan office in Hsinchu in August 2026, just over a year after our first customer meeting in the market. The office followed our progression from an initial project to wider engagement across the semiconductor industry, giving work already under way a local base.

When Head of Solutions Mike Feng arrived in Hsinchu in June 2025, he expected a patient process of introductions, repeated visits and relationship-building. Our experience in Germany had shaped that expectation. Taiwan took a different course. At the first meeting, the manufacturer’s challenges connected directly with what our technology could offer, and the conversation developed into a project with a major Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturer.

That first project became the starting point for further conversations and deeper engagements. As of September 2026, we were working with three of Taiwan’s largest semiconductor manufacturers, with several multi-year projects in the pipeline.

Why the Office Matters

The office gives those relationships a local foundation. The speed of our expansion reflected a close fit between manufacturers’ needs and our technology, supported by customers’ trust, partners and a team ready to deliver. The opening marks our commitment to continue serving that ecosystem as the relationships develop.

Our first project in Taiwan gave us a concrete problem to work on with a customer. Establishing a local base marked our intention to stay involved beyond that first engagement. The office followed customer activity and now provides a base from which to support it.

Two Markets, Different Routes to Trust

Our path in Germany took longer. In June 2026, we announced our incorporation there, with Dresden as our base for customers and partners across Germany and the wider EU. That journey began with a first direct customer discussion in March 2024 and continued through repeated visits and conversations with foundries, mask makers, wafer companies, equipment manufacturers and technology partners.

Germany required sustained engagement before we established our base; Taiwan’s first customer conversation moved quickly into project work. In both markets, industrial needs and relationships shaped our decision to establish a local presence.

Our next phase in Taiwan builds on existing customer engagements, the Hsinchu office and a pipeline of possible longer-term work. The Hsinchu base gives us a place from which to develop those relationships and contribute to the semiconductor ecosystem that made the expansion possible.
